Tinubu Swears In New Permanent Secretaries

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has sworn in four newly appointed Permanent Secretaries and one National Commissioner of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
The brief ceremony was held on Thursday at the State House, Abuja, shortly before the President presided over the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting. The appointees took their oaths of office in a single batch.
Those sworn in as Permanent Secretaries are Mrs. Warrens Bekearedebo Augusta from Ekeremo in Bayelsa State; Dr. Ayinde Shoretire, an indigene of Abeokuta, Ogun State; Mallam Aminu Sani Yargaya from Kano State; and Mrs. Nkiruka Bella Jones-Nebo, representing Enugu State.
Also sworn in was Rear Admiral Jamila Abubakar Sadiq Malafa (rtd) as National Commissioner of INEC, representing Adamawa State. Following the administration of the oath, the appointees signed the official register.
The ceremony was anchored by the Director of Media in the Office of the President, Mr. Abiodun Oladunjoye.
The FEC meeting, which the President presided over, was attended by Vice President Kashim Shettima; Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Senator George Akume; National Security Adviser, Mallam Nuhu Ribadu; and Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Didi Esther Walson-Jack.
Also in attendance were other cabinet members, including the newly sworn-in Minister of Finance, Taiwo Oyedele; Minister of Budget and Economic Planning, Senator Atiku Bagudu; and Minister of Housing, Muttaqa Rabe Darma, among others.
