President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has reiterated his administration’s commitment to ensuring that development reaches every part of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), including rural and satellite communities.

Represented by Vice President Kashim Shettima, made the statement on Thursday while commissioning the newly rehabilitated Aguma Palace-Radio Nigeria, New Market Road in Gwagwalada Area Council.

Shettima who said that the project signifies more than a road, describing it as “a symbol of inclusion and a promise fulfilled.”

He added that the initiative shows the administration’s resolve to bridge the gap between city centre development and underserved areas.

“For too long, communities like Gwagwalada have watched development happen from a distance,” he said. “But we are here to rewrite that story.”

He commended the FCT Minister, Barr Nyesom Wike, for driving infrastructural renewal across the territory. “Mr. President is proud of your accomplishments,” he said, praising Wike’s leadership and commitment to reform.

The Vice President said the project was nominated by the people and reflects the administration’s democratic approach to governance. “This is not an imposed project; it was chosen by the people and delivered to meet their needs.”

He noted that the road will ease movement, boost economic activities, and improve access to schools and healthcare. Traditional leaders, including the Aguma of Gwagwalada, were present at the event and applauded the government’s intervention.

Shettima commissioned the road on behalf of the President, assuring residents of continued attention to their development needs under the Renewed Hope Agenda.
