NIGER STATE GOVERNMENT SIGNS MULTI BILLION NAIRA MOU WITH NIGERIAN ARMY PROPERTIES LTD. (NAPL)

The Niger State government has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Nigerian Army Properties Ltd. for the construction of a market in Suleja,headquarters of Suleja Local Government Area worth N121b.
The Secretary to the State government Abubakar Usman and the Principal Private Secretary to the farmer governor, Emmanuel Umar signed on behalf of the State government while the Vice Chairman, NAPL, Lt. Gen. Lamidi Adeosun (rtd), the Group Managing Director NAPL, Brig. Gen. Isah Doma and the Company Secretary Barrister Ahmad Belel Ismaila signed on behalf of NAPL.
Niger State governor, farmer Mohammed Umaru Bago who described the agreement as a milestone achievement in the history of the State said, the market is expected to be the largest in the whole of the Northern Region.
Farmer Bago equally disclosed that the market when completed will raise an economy of between N500m and N1trn and will help support the economy of Abuja as Suleja has always been known to be an important live wire for supporting commerce and trade in Abuja.
The farmer governor revealed that the decision to partner the NAPL is to leverage on the economic importance of the market that will also boost the socio-economic status of the state.
In his remarks,the Group Managing Director, NAPL, Brig. Gen. Isah Doma described the agreement as a rare privilege for the NAPL to partner Niger State and contribute to the developmental efforts of the farmer governor.
Brig. Gen. Doma expressed the NAPL's joy of being given the opportunity to be part of the growth of Niger State and reassured that they will deliver the project and will not take the opportunity for granted.
