BBBB Media Team Debunks Misreporting on Arabic Language Board Appointment

The media team of Bar. Bello Bawa Bwari (BBBB) has officially disassociated him from a recent appointment to the Nigeria Arabic Language Board, Borno State, following growing public confusion. 

In a press release issued Tuesday, the team clarified that Bar. Bello Bawa Bwari is not the individual appointed to the board as reported in some media outlets.

The mix up appears to stem from the similarity in names, which has led many to mistakenly associate the appointment with Bar. Bello Bawa Bwari. However, according to the statement signed by Shyaib Mohammed, Media Coordinator to BBBB, the person appointed is most likely Hon. Abubakar Bawa Bwari, a former Minister of Mines and Steel Development.

“It has come to our attention that there is some confusion surrounding this appointment,” the release stated. “We would like to emphasize that the appointee is not Bar. Bello Bawa Bwari.” The media team stressed the importance of distinguishing between both individuals to avoid spreading misinformation.

The statement urged media organizations and members of the public to verify facts before publishing or sharing details about official appointments. It noted that such errors, while sometimes unintentional, could cause unnecessary misunderstanding and public misrepresentation.
